Canopies islands are a little apart in Polynesia : far, very far, c & rsquo; is the end of the end of the world. The landscapes are very different there steep hills, the very different vegetation, the kitchen…
And Polynesia, canopies, c & rsquo; s is a bit & rsquo; arlésienne, everyone tells you that c & rsquo; is great but nobody & rsquo; went there. After hearing so much praise, we necessarily were disappointed…
And yet, it was seen as something & rsquo; pretty amazing : a native forest, almost prehistoric as there is more much in the world. It was a 6 hour hike, from south west landscapes of France (large pine forests) a jurassic park atmosphere. Impressive… But you have to go see it with your own eyes because I don & rsquo; had not taken my camera.
We also visited the trays Nuku Hiva riding, through a very nice little ranch where I got a cute cat pal. Wild horses are beautiful awnings, I don & rsquo; had never seen this animal in freedom c & rsquo; was really moving.
For the rest, we especially enjoyed the people that & rsquo; we met on site, including Hiva Oa (Jaques Brel made known and Paul Gauguin are buried there). And, it was worth the trip anyway, if only for the hello that & rsquo; we took to land 400m d & rsquo; altitude !
Yes eh, for those who & rsquo; ignore, polynésie the c & rsquo; is a bit of France, not quite a D.O.M nor T.O.M (mais un P.O.M, country & rsquo; overseas). So there are traffic signs at home… Quite confusing.
I was not sure how to tell you polynésie, j & rsquo; have so much to tell you, 3 weeks c & rsquo; is long. J & rsquo; therefore have lots of little thematic and I'll post 2 articles per day. Today, la mer…
When we look at a world map in Polynesia we only see tiny dots in the middle of & rsquo; Ocean, ça fait tout drôle… Once there, particularly on atolls or motus were l & rsquo; & rsquo impression; to be on pebbles, almost deserted islands in the middle of & rsquo; water and feel very small.
Where that & rsquo; one is, there is always a hint of blue in a corner, l & rsquo; ocean is omnipresent, especially when s & rsquo; instllé is in a small bungalow on the beach or downright stilt…
J & rsquo;'ve always been a little afraid in & rsquo; water, but this year I & rsquo; have decided to go beyond that to discover one of the best things that ever over there : The seabed. I don & rsquo; had never dived in my life and m & rsquo; said I could not go in Polynesia without baptism…
…And c & rsquo; was so beautiful : Rangiroa j & rsquo; have plunged into & rsquo; ocean at sunset.
J & rsquo; had always wanted to see dolphins, but especially not in dolphinariums, I don & rsquo; not like that kind of circus. I preferred to see them in their natural environment, in all their majesty and even if it m & rsquo; asked for some d & rsquo; exertion I do not regret.
J & rsquo; could have cried in my mask so I & rsquo; was moved. Groups of dolphins came cavorting and turn us around, while we watched the gray sharks and fish Surgeons 15m fund.
I don & rsquo; unfortunately have nothing to show you these explorations, I don & rsquo; have only beautiful memories in my head. But I would advise anyone to try l & rsquo; experience on site. The temptation is to be limited to snorkeling (with mask + tuba) As the funds are fish, but these dives are my best memories, I advise you strongly.
I'm completely out of season me lately. Go 3 weeks it makes you take a holy casually delay ! While my girlfriends dissect the trends of the season I speak marriage in September, and now my honeymoon in Tahiti. Ah ben bravo !
I feel sorry for those who expect looks ptits (not type to type), you will see me in a bathing suit, not sure it inspires you to go with your briefcase :p
But let : I got back from Polynesia there are fewer d & rsquo; one month (pffff it seems to me for miles so the fall was rough), and as expected c & rsquo; was heaven on earth.
3 weeks feet in & rsquo; water with my hubby to breathe fresh air, plunge into & rsquo; Ocean, tease dolphins and colorful fish, through prehistoric jungles of, laze on the beach, watch the wonderful Polynesia sky at sunset every night taking my lover's hand… ** sigh * sigh * * * énormesoupir
C & rsquo; was paradise… For those so inclined, I will tell you that the menu promised, but in the meantime, thinking back to all that I don & rsquo; have not the courage… Here are some pictures for aujourd & rsquo; hui (pression… Photos d & rsquo; Alix sorted by color were sooooo beautiful !)
