After a short road trip from Noosa 2 hours, bim ! We were back in town.

You can imagine the scenery changes and temperature within 24 hours c & rsquo; was pretty crazy !

I don & rsquo; have unfortunately passed that & rsquo; an evening and a morning in this city and I regret a little. But it & rsquo; is & rsquo; my game pauv’ Lollipop ! We can not have everything in life !

So I do not know if I & rsquo;'ve had a real insight. J & rsquo;'ve seen quite a few bars “concept” and luxury shops, j & rsquo; have therefore kept a chic and trendy vision.

The n & rsquo; is not only that what & rsquo; tourism office has shown us since we had 3 good hours walking in the city center.

J & rsquo; loved all the houses on stilts, with wooden stairs and old furniture on the porch.

J & rsquo; énooormes did not like the spiders that & rsquo; one saw everywhere, I did that & rsquo; but a big sissy c & rsquo; is my phobia number 1, j & rsquo; s had & rsquo; & rsquo impression that; they ran on me was so breasted. Yeurk !

And freaked out as deficient because of the giant bats that flew us to the dark so that & rsquo; s it & rsquo; was lost in the dark streets. V & rsquo; the adventurous, it'll now it makes us laugh.

It s & rsquo; is consoled the evening with a few mojitos really trendy bars in the city. Rooftop Hotel eg.

(J & rsquo; digress on the Australians are a bit like the British and Irish, dressed shorter you dies, there is a nice herd of gams who walk around bars.

Apparently c & rsquo; is because Australian, suuuuuper shy, that n & rsquo; s not too dare & rsquo; approach. They put everything on their part to motivate the poor darlings.

Distinguished French, you would be oil kings in Australia… not sure that you would do to the culture of “dating” but you would have some points d & rsquo; ahead of the guys from there. Let us close the parenthesis.)

To finish, we were in a really nice hotel, a little “boutique hotel” as it's called, avec 9 rooms, calm, style and comfort the sick. Too expensive for my budget if I & rsquo; had traveled by myself, but really a beautiful place.

And otherwise, if you go to Brisbane, try to nab one of the guides with the pigeons above ptits, they are found in shops, they are so beautiful that & rsquo; & rsquo we think that they are paying !

When one is French c & rsquo; is stupid but we say that c & rsquo; is a guide for pigeons (has been) but they are full of good addresses and are updated regularly.

Some addresses in Brisbane :

Full of good plans the site of small pigeon guides.

L & rsquo; hotel Spicers, really beautiful, ate there the best little dej of the stay.

Rest cha cha char : 2e best steak of my life, we eat meat mad Australia c & rsquo; is final.

Bar Cloudland, a little too trendy for my taste and select, but what space Whaaa, a Deco sick (I don & rsquo; have unfortunately no pictures).

belfast-giant lollipop

Belfast… The name of this city resounded in my head with much gravity. Report to the & rsquo; history, In the name of the father, the wall separating Protestant and Catholic. Very heavy, a little scary, not necessarily endorsement.

And yet, j’ai adoré : despite the & rsquo; architecture of the city center and its major arteries entirely without d & rsquo; soul and the historical background that I & rsquo; have discovered much more concretely when d & rsquo; a black taxi tour. The program we had concocted the & rsquo; Irish Tourist Board and the friendliness of the people was there for many.

D & rsquo; our first hotel, the Fitzwilliam Hotel, a marvel of design and d & rsquo; lovely little touches : some cookies waiting for you in the room, with a handwritten note welcoming you. A stunning view of the city lights and a breakfast with onions. When I travel I always judge hotels at breakfast (and restaurants in their toilets) : breakfast served in place of & rsquo; a buffet and I conquered. My father has long been in & rsquo; hospitality, I know what I'm talking about !

On paper the & rsquo; hotel is quite expensive, but we were assured that the rooms were often offered at bargain prices. Gentlemen, to impress your lovely here is a nice romantic place that will make you believe me score points (if you let your love rush on topshop, urban outfitters and Primark in addition to all this, you are the king of oil).

The first day we went to visit a small candy shop (Aunt Sandra’s Candy) where & rsquo; family team that holds the shop showed us how to make lollipops, candy and other sugary pellets coca. J & rsquo;'ve won a giant lollipop, and drooled in front of chocolates, le fudge, and other delicacies.

Then Ulster Museum and greenhouses and gardens : a marvel, j’ai adoré, strafed ! C & rsquo; was very refreshing to see people s & rsquo; walk there on Sunday, quietly. A nice discovery and a nice surprise.

Followed by very nice covered market in Belfast or j & rsquo; have – without lying – ate muffins the best of my life : chocolate, fondant & marshmallows fondus. S can & rsquo; ask there for lunch while listening to young artists with their guitar : really nice !

Enfin, a small tour of the city and its history (recent) s & rsquo; required. So we made a black taxi tour commented by an Irish. I'm usually not a fan of this type of visit that make me ill at & rsquo; comfortable, but our guide could not have been more awesome : a bit gruff, l & rsquo; not super friendly air, with a voice that knew household graaaave heavy silences between his sentences. J & rsquo; loved to talk to him & rsquo; before his taxi, to do, choosing good guide of his race !

Last but not least, I could not leave you without you about the beautiful Merchant Hotel, voted best bar in the world (by I do not know which agency) which offers the most expensive cocktail in the world also (the Guinness Book n & rsquo; is Irish for nothing !). A cocktail made of & rsquo; rum from d & rsquo; a single bottle that will disappear once the source has dried up to only £ 750 ! J & rsquo;'ve found it very funny, and the gentleman hat that told us this charming.

L You & rsquo; will understand therefore, j & rsquo; s loved & rsquo; Ireland and its two capitals. I left that & rsquo; to explore the countryside with my lover !

~ Some addresses in Dublin + tips ~

To eat :

Ads The John Hewitt, 51 Donegal Street – Where j & rsquo; ate one of the best salmon of my life !

Le Nick’s Warehouse, 35-39 Hill Street – The memory based toffee pudding and butterscotch dripping haunts me in my greedy hours.

For shopping :

Everything happens in the same area around Victoria Square : Topshop, Urban outfitters, Primark… I returned plucked, avec 2 extra bags on the back, j & rsquo; was not a pretty sight !

To go to Ireland :

We were traveling on the low cost Air lingus from Roissy, mais il y a également Ryan air (… but must love from Beauvais).

Then Dublin – Belfast en train puis Belfast Dublin en Bus (advantage, that takes you to the & rsquo; airport !)

Have a good trip !

As I told you last week, gendarme dressed in my little cape, j’ai passé 4 days in Ireland in late September to visit her two capitals Dublin and Belfast.

J & rsquo; had always dreamed of returning to Ireland. J & rsquo; it had gone very small but in the countryside, nothing to do so. J & rsquo; had two beautiful cities to discover.

I do not really know what m & rsquo; wait, j & rsquo; just imagine quite similar to those cities that I & rsquo; had seen in England architecture level, une culture pub & well-developed beer, and a little rain. We don & rsquo; was close, but I & rsquo; fortunately got a few surprises !

Dublin's start with if you wish.

J & rsquo; loved walking through the streets : brick buildings, Stone, all on a human scale, the gates of all colors framed by columns. So quaint ! A pleasure for my camera and I.

And then what I & rsquo; like Ireland c & rsquo; is that c & rsquo; is really a country of the & rsquo; Fall, the landscapes are beautiful, colorful parks… St Stephens Green & rsquo; s worth a stroll, There you will see a statue of & rsquo; Oscar Wilde, from Dublin.

But what I & rsquo; loved above all : le Trinity College. A kind of fantasy d & rsquo; student, j & rsquo; have dreamed my studies in such a place. We walked there the day of registrations for “society”, it m & rsquo; has proposed several thinking that I & rsquo; was proud Irish * *

J & rsquo; have quite drunk during these guiness 2 days Dublin, Day 250 requires years of this beer : We raised our glass to Sir Arthur Guinness with all the & rsquo; Ireland on 23 September : I was there !

And since we were little lucky, we were in Dublin on the evening of culture night, kind of mix of the white night & French Heritage Days. Performances in galleries, singers in bookstores, workshops & rsquo; artists and intimate concerts : a beautiful evening which again ended in a pub !

This m & rsquo; has most marked the evening c & rsquo; is the style of Irish : little dressed, not cautious for two pennies, more upscale than the London. I envy the girls, they can go out in micro skirt without fear of being called a bitch at all street corners, the guys are very friendly and it shows. I dream & rsquo; a day when we can do the same in Paris, but n & rsquo; not tomorrow the day !
